Grace

My Nan was very ladylike. Even in her eighties she had fantastic legs that she would show off in lovely dresses and low kitten mule slippers.

Both my grandparents looked very young for their age. (Something my Mum and me, both inherited)

My Nan suffered with anxiety. (Something i also suffer with) She didn't like to go out and stayed home more and more the older she got.

My Nan would let me wear a small gold wishbone necklace every time i went out to dinner with my Grandparents. I inherited lots of her possessions, including ornaments and jewellery that i love to have on display or wear.

I developed her love of deers. I have a couple of hers. And her love of anenomes.

I remember making breakfast with my Nan. 'butter the toast right to the edge' she would say. The smoke alarm would always go off too if the door hadn't been shut.

My nan would sometimes curl my hair. Big lovely ringlets!!

She passed away a few years before my Grandas. I feel my Nan with me continuously.

My Nan and Grandad made it past their 60th wedding anniversary  - i hope me and my hubbie do!
