My Husband thought my Grandad looked like Delboy from Only fools and horses when he first met him!
Sitting in his chair with his Saint Christopher around his neck.

My Grandad was stern but also a big softy.

He was extremely stubborn and thrifty but also very generous. (I have these traits too)

He liked a bloody Mary with his dinner. I have fond memories of him standing at his pull down bar and making me a lemonade and grenadine.

He was a great buisness man who started off with very little but worked hard to give him and my Nan a very comfortable life.

I was his only Grandchild. He would often put money in my hand (without my Nan knowing) to go treat myself.

I would sometimes go and have breakfast with him in BHS Romford before buying fish from the market for dinner that night.

He drove very very fast - scarily fast!!

In his younger days he enjoyed boxing, horse riding, and jogging.

He loved to travel. Sadly my Nan didn't, so he would take day trips to all sorts of places around the world.
To get to further places quickly, he would often travel on concord.
I got to accompany him to Lapland and Jersey.
